Twin Cities Artists I Appreciate
Charlie Marie, Abstract Artist
Charlie’s abstract paintings ask the audience to partake in the present moment. Avant-garde in concept and simple in design, she brings organic experience and sometimes an interactive relationship.
She utilizes a wide variety of mixed media and pulls from personal, everyday objects. Then, using intention and symbolism, she offers us, as participants, an intimate glimpse of her inner world.
Charlie Marie’s work dares us to go beyond the mundane and break the definition of an object simply as “something to only be observed and admired by the viewer”.

Jackson Dainty, Fine Artist
“My mind's eye sees and understands the idyllic complete form of a painting while my physical body strives to bring the image into reality as well as it is capable. My inherent sense of design is poetic and sometimes humorous, vivid in color and content, and part of the storytelling. It is true that every picture tells a story, and that story is a glimpse into my eternal soul…
…To work in one style of painting has always been quite limiting for me. The little inner voice tells me to express the creative message in whatever style gives it meaning and beauty. A number of years ago I came up with a title that would best describe what I thought my art was, I called it Impressionistic Idealism. To this day, it instills my focus and direction, how I see the real creative world at my easel.”

Artist Salons
For two years, I hosted artist salons at my business gallery space to create an evening filled with expression and relaxation.
Visual artists, poets, actors, and musicians were among the types of artists featured in the artist salon programs.
“Saturday evening's salon was so lovely.
What fun to share creative expression and conversations!”
— Marie Thielen, Landscape Artist

Artist salons are a wonderful way to engage with artists and like-minded people.
The gallery space offers plenty of comfortable areas for conversation and relaxation before and after the program.
